For anyone that has come through the past two years with their business and investments intact, I think congratulations are in order. By all accounts, the Great Recession has amounted to a trial of our business acumen as well as our nerve. The unprecedented changes in the business environment have required the use of muscles we forgot we had and though we might now be a little sore, we are stronger as well.
Having led a business through two earlier recessions, I have observed that private jet activity has been a reliable leading economic indicator. Months prior to a measurable decline/increase in the economic growth rates, our industry usually feels the pain/joy. With that said, I am pleased to report that our flight activity is increasing, signaling a renewed confidence in the economy and, we hope, a return to much needed job creation across the country.
At the same time we are looking forward to the nascent economic recovery gaining steam, we are also celebrating our re-certification as a world-wide FAA Approved Commercial Air Carrier. This achievement was accomplished during an era of heightened FAA scrutiny and a myriad of new regulatory requirements.
Our new charter company is called Dreamline Aviation and the personnel you knew and who worked for you at Avmark will look very familiar.
